Ada L. Wasson Mary E. Walters

Monday, October 15, 2007 - Otterbein Community Saddened - Our community is deeply saddened upon learning of the discovery of the car carrying our two neighbors, Ada Wasson and Mary Ellen Walters on Sunday October 14. Their car was discovered by hunters, in a location not visible from the road or air, about 8 miles south of Carrollton, Kentucky near Interstate 71. The families have been notified and we are doing everything in our power to support them and the residents and staff of our community.

It has been a difficult time for the families and everyone who knew and cared about Mary Ellen and Ada. All who live or work in this community share the loss of these two neighbors and our prayers are with the families in these difficult times.

Our deepest thanks to the churches for alerting their congregations and enlisting volunteers; to the volunteers for their time, efforts and concern, to the Warren County Sheriff’s office for their professionalism and hard work and to the media for alerting the public and assisting in developing interest in the volunteer efforts.

Our community and the Otterbein Lebanon Church will continue to support the families and each other as we pray and hold each other close.
